Leave it to Beaver Closing Final Season

The 1962-63 Closing for Leave it to Beaver series, from a syndicated airing. The theme song was changed for the final season to be an upbeat, swing instrumental. It is rare when the ending theme is played completely (for any syndicated show) without voice over, or "squished", or worse, what TVL does lately to a lot of shows (such as TAGS) with a credit roll over the final scene and no ending theme of background at all!

Must have been RTV. They're about the only ones who leave the closing themes be, except lately they speed up the visual part of the credits and cut the theme short.

This was actually from a TV Land broadcast in the early 2000's (unbelievably, since TVL has messed up all of the closings now with edited versions that are squished, or totally removed with no closing at all!).

I find it interesting that a lot of shows spend money to revise their theme song arrangements for the final season (i.e.: Happy Days, Beaver, The A-Team) and then the show gets canceled.

TVLand has become the "Roseanne" channel, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Couldn't stand the show in first run; sucks even more now.

Two things about this TV Land broadcast of the show: 1), they played the entire theme "without voice interruption", that's rare for that channel. And 2), Now on most shows on TV Land, you don't even see, or hear the ending themes anymore......... they get completely eliminated & they run the credits in the lower left corner so damn fast & small, you can't read them. That's not the way to do it! I guess bottom line is, "they don't care"!!

Pete Rugolo just passed away at age 95. The full credits for "LEAVE IT TO BEAVER" can now be seen on Antenna TV, which recently picked up a "package" of Universal series in addition to their Sony/Columbia library.

Saying TV Land sucks is putting it mildly. Have you noticed, TV Land never runs on time because of the over abundance of commercials! The reason why TV Land has edited the credits by showing them so rapidly, is because it cuts into their almighty non stop advertising!
