  • whats ur opinion on elective c sections? for those extra freaked out and epidurals?

  • @mehwish81 I personally for myself am not for them, but if a woman is well educated and well informed about her choice to have an elective c-section(MAJOR surgery) than it is her right to make that choice for her. I do feel like the baby should still get to choose when he/she is ready to come so I personally would wait for labour to start before I go for a c-section. But I'd feel so sad for those woman that miss out on something so amazing& how amazing our bodies are too.

  • @nannerskins thanks for the reply...the thing is im super freaked out abt labor and its going to be my first time...ive had gall stone attacks during pregnancy and ive read that theyre worse than labor pains and i tolerated those...but im generally a fraidy cat so can u pls tell me how bad labor is? some say its like real bad period cramps...but nothing more..is that true?

  • @mehwish81 Heck, I was TERRIFIED of labour and birth. I use to sit in my living room at 37 weeks with my nerves shot just thinking about it. I ended up reading birthing from within, which is a great book. I think you need to find a group online that supports woman before they birth and gives them power to feel like they can do it. I think as woman we need to believe in our bodies and just trust that it knows what it's doing. Contractions are like bad bad period cramps. You get breaks inbetween

  • I miss you! I've been so busy lately gah!! I am going to send you a super long FB msg ASAP! <3

  • @JessC00k I miss you TOOOOO!!! I know you have, no worries! I have been too kinda. I'll have to check my FB tonight and reply to it when Dagney is sleeping. <3

  • AMEN SISTER!!! get that in

  • @skarletsky Geez, if I had had a 5-10 hour labour and delivery I would of popped out a couple kids right after that! hahaha From first contraction to actually delivery I was in labour for 72 hours, but my contractions stalled for two days and I only was having them every 15 minutes instead of the 3 minutes. But I guess consistant contractions I was in labour for 24 hours which isn't bad. I hear yeah, I only had support people with me for 6.5 hours of my labour.

  • it drives me mad when i see ppl say they were in labour for like 5 or 10 hours, i was in labour for 36, 16 of which i was on my own, and i had my son at home, now that was a challenge haha xx

  • loved this! even though I had a great hospital birth (I refuse to call it un natural though haha)! I just LOVE birth...women amaze me, truly! I LOVED taking a bath before we went to the hospital! by the time I was there I was just like you, I didn't want to move! Its good to trust in your body no matter what because if I ever end up in a situation where I CANT have an epidural, the last thing I want is to panic!

  • Love it! Birth is not inherently dangerous. It's not something to be scared of. And yet so many women give birth in fear. I'm glad you trusted your body to do it's ultimate job! My natural birth got railroaded with unnecessary interventions (forceps w/ spinal after 20hrs drug-free) and I am still dealing with the disappointment and regret. I will never give birth in a hospital again. Hopefully this video will help a first-time mumma have the natural birth she deserves :)

  • did i hear little Dagney in the background? he's such a cutie!
