I've made this video using live footage from de AMAZING concert @ Melkweg - Amsterdam 9 Oct 2009. One of my favourite songs from Tarot Sport. A great music for a very sad World War II story.

Correction; The japanese carrier sunk had crew members from the USS Sculpin as p.o.w's. The carrier was the Chuyo and it was sunk by the USS Sailfish (SS 192). My friend Fred, was on board the Sailfish as a torpedoman.

The Lisbon Maru, was sunk on 1 October 1942 by the USS Grouper (SS 214). The freighter was being used as a troop transport and a prisoner ship. It was not marked, so the submarine commander had no way of knowing it's cargo. The ship should have been marked but, The Japanese, in no way were were going to conform to the rules of war. This was not the only time it happened. A Japanese aircraft carrier was also sunk with prisoners on board by the USS Sculpin.
