simply because they seek to take complete control of the palestinian nation. if the palestinians were given the opportunity to thrive as a nation eventually they would be able to stand up to Israel, and free themselves from the tyranny of the zionists. So by making the lives of the palestinians unbarable they are able to control them and the messages they send to the media.
