LT punked Walter Payton and Neal Anderson at the 4:03 mark---not an easy thing to do. He was truly a one-man wrecking crew. There'll never be another like him.
@plntntvzn Yeah, but it's sad how he ended up now, with him in a wheelchair and basically an invalid. He deserved better than that from the NFL after a great career.
Wilbur Marshall was a brilliant athlete,an impact player of the highest magnitude,a concussive hitter who ran as fast as many strong safeties. In 1986, his 5 interceptions,2 touchdowns,4 forced fumbles,3 fumble recoveries,5.5 sacks,& 60 solo tackles earned him All-Pro honors. He played much bigger than his size of 6-1 and 225 pounds, and it had been said, that the only thing separating him from Lawrence Taylor was 2 inches and 20 pounds. Teammate Otis Wilson was the classic intimidator.
Quite a few teams made Giants look bad in 1987.Next week,Giants lost at home to lackluster Dallas Cowboys. I mean the Cowboys at that time were WELL on their way to making the Cowboys of late 1980s one of worst teams in NFL history. For Giants to lose at home the next week to them showed just how far off base the 1987 Giants were.Special teams would finish last in NFL that year in PR diffrential&8th to last in KR differential. LT Benson,Martin,Carson,&Morris should have retired in SB21 postgame
