@Link3618andLiquid depends on what you mean by insane metal distortion. If all else fails, these amps take pedals really well or you could simply boost the amps gain to push it where you need. The Roc Pro is a great amp if you can get your hands on one. I used to do shows with a band that used a Roc Pro, held its own with most tube amps being used by the other bands and is one of the better sounding SS amps out there. Get a good cab to go with it, makes a huge difference.
