I actually love American 90s rock. My youtube videos for 90s alt rock, will tell you that if you watch them. I like a lot of bands who are not hip or cool to like but I still love them. Bands like Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Bush (British but might as well be American), Garbage, Alice in Chains and more. I own more albums and songs from this genre and era of music then any other. Nu-Metal was pretty evil though!

I have a feeling that Blur are overlooked everywhere. Except for in the UK, that is. They might be respected by music fans (usually more often than Oasis), but the "public" probably only knows maybe Country House and Song 2. Which is a shame. They're the Kinks of the 90's!

Oh also, Props on including Blur as well. SO overlooked here in America outside of Song 2!

Thanks! I've seen your videos and they look good. Haven't had the time to watch them all yet. The one I remember seeing right now was the one with songs from 1969. Usually bands like Blood Sweat & Tears are ignored, so it was cool to see them there.
And yes, that Oasis album is great!

Nice work on these videos. I do these kind of videos myself except I do my top 20 favorite songs for each year from the 60s-today. I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of Oasis. It's a great album!
I agree that What's The Story is a better album than any Blur album, but Blur had the much better career. They are in my top 5 bands of the 90s!

Well, I tend to like Oasis better. The other 4 bands are? Radiohead, I guess? And?

Pulp, Suede and Elastica would be the other major bands of britpop. Pulp actually has some stellar songs like Common People and This is Hardcore.

Suede has some great songs, I agree. Especially the debut and Coming Up are good albums. I also love the song Everything Will Flow off the otherwise rather dull Head Music. And I agree that Blur probably had the most interesting career as they were more profound and artistic while Oasis probably went too much Slade, which isn't gonna win you any awards. Still love 'em, though! Agree that Common People is a great track. How do you rate the American 90's?
