Background:
This is Wacker drive just West of Michigan, across the river is the Trump tower. I just by chance selected Hotel 71 for this trip to Chicago. I woke up Monday morning to this disaster scene which had been created in the night. So I skipped the trade show and worked in my room all day and watched the action.

My compliments to the multiple crews and project managers and director. I watched their work throughout the day. To plan and execute this work is and amazing feat! This was just one scene out of one day. Wow.

The cars are actually dragged by cables. The same technology found on aircraft carriers is used to drag the vehicles at a high speed. A computer controls the timing of the explosions, this way during the movie the cables pulling the cars are in sync with the explosions. Giving the illusion of a more powerful explosion. Then after the shot, more flame and flaying debris are added by CG effects. Movie magic!
