They should get a Maori speaker to do their translations and not just join words out of the dictionary. Ata whenua might mean "land-shadow" but they probably want an expression like "whenua ō ngā ataata" (land of shadows) or Whenua Pōuri (dark land - Edwardson Sound is Moana Whenua Pōuri) depending on what they mean.The Maori for Fiordland isTe Rua ō te Moko.

I was in Te Anau in February 2008 and saw this film at the cinema there....it was amazing, wonderful and magical.
Coming back for good very soon.

Beautiful footage. I've seen a version of this with a few samples of the music being played and have been trying to find out for the longest time what song was playing with baritone sax in it.

Unfortunately there has not been a commercial release of the soundtrack yet. However, I can tell you it is all original music composed by Murray Burns.
