  • #what kind of pc do i need to run this thing#

  • @beepboopbeep100 man I got a random bs $400 laptop from Best Buy in March that I run it on. I did this video on it too. The big thing is using the mixer to route fx.

  • Question, if Reason 6 just hit selves on the 20th of September. How did you get it beforehand?

  • @Biddyjr the demo was out in July but this was actually a Record feature brought into Reason. I used Record for the demonstration

  • great tutorial i just got reason 6 but now im stuck cuase i dont know how to route my drums on seperate tracks like how can i put snares kicks hi hats crashes on diff tracks with out having to create a device for each instrument the ssl mixer does not allow you to toggle front or rear only the 14:1 mixer for routing

  • @huntspoint20 create a mix channel for each output and it will create new channels for the SSL

  • @robraw101 thats mad iggnorant statement dude

  • @robraw101 cool. Nothing wrong with either platform. OSX is awesome I just happen to prefer Windows. Keep in mind hit records have been made in Fruity Loops a windows only app (well for now since its being ported to Mac)

  • lol, he sounds like a monotone rapper with that beat.

  • @numskidude the video isnt a review you fool its a look at the features of the new reason mixer

  • All of these people leaving comments about mac vs. pc. Get over it already, if you're smart you'll use EVERY tool available to you on ALL platforms ;-)

  • @silenticon ill get u one...... A big Mac

  • My 2 cents... Although from a stability standpoint I will never use a PC again! All that matters is when you push play, does it sound like a hit? From producing, record capture, mixing & mastering. If the content or the artist suck, that's a whole different plight. I'm an old analog guy that infused the digital, now I have the best of both worlds. MPC, sound modules, Cubase, Logic, Reason, Pro Tools.

  • @robraw101 when I worked in Sam Ash, we would get guys coming in and asking us if we can come and hook up their studios after work, we would always ask if they used Macs, if not, we would arrogantly just tell them, sorry, I'd help you out if you had a Mac.

  • @MGTheFuture LOL, I agree there are a lot of people using fruity loops to make tracks, but just because you can doesn't mean you should. But FL has come a long way since 1.0 I suppose. In my book though Logic Pro, Ableton Live and Reason is the way to go along with audio unit virtual synths for logic. This is what I myself use and what everyone selling records that I know use and I'm talking about over 30 + producers I know ofand am friends with. I honestly don't know even one PC producer.

  • @robraw101 And with all that education and experience, you still making noob comments about platform. I know people who a relevant making hit music on billboard charts...they use PC and FL studio. That's it..before they got there..PC and FL studio. before they went a studio with macs and pro tools and SSL boards...PC and FL studio. So how in the world does using a PC make you a wannabe..when today, HIT MAKERS are using PC and FL studio? You can't goto school for that. And i KNOW these people.

  • @MGTheFuture I'm 39 years old and have been DJing since I was 16 and producing since I was 21 or 22. I went to Institute of Audio Research in Manhattan NY and they introduced me to the Mac and every one of my teach swore by the Mac platform so I went Mac too since 1997. I later worked At Sam Ash Music in Time Square where I met lots of producers and even set up studios for some of these people, I know Serge Devant, Monaque, Space Girl, Konque, Alkarex, Frankie Bones and many others personally.
