天空のエスカフローネ / The Vision of Escaflowne (Playstation; 1997)

Gameplay demo of Bandai's PS1 action/RPG based off the anime.

It is 3/4 view/Isometric like Landstalker, Super Mario RPG, Solstice, Equinox and Breath of Fire 3 and 4.

Unfortunately, this game is almost unplayable if you don't understand conversational Japanese language.

For the first time last week I got a bit far on this. You guys are right, it's not all that cut to be, it's almost like more story less action. Despite that, it had a really nice package though, it came with a tall case, a one of a kind instruction manual (and I mean that), and some tarot cards.
