This is why Korea is divided. Because two powers: US and China are "enemies" and have conflicting interests.

If China didn't attack United States and South Korean troops, then Korea would be unified by United Nations.

If United States didn't attack North Korea, then South Korea would not exist.

But, both parties got a piece of the "action" in this war.

The victims like all wars are the "bystanders" and in this war, they are the Korean civilians.
