Franchitti won the 2007 championship because Dixon ran out of gas, Wheldon won last week in Iowa on fuel mileage. No one gave them crap about how they won, Why pick on Danica ?? First one to cross the finish line wins, period.

It's strategy. The IRL "Daily Trackside Report" for this race noted the cars were iffy at the end. A caution on Lap 141 (59 to go) set the stage. Leaders pitted on Lap 143. Castroneves, Patrick, and Carpenter pitted again on Lap 148. They believed they could go 50 laps (75 miles) on one tank starting with Lap 151. On 1.5 mile (2400m) ovals, a driver can go 48 laps on a single 22-gallon (about 84 litre) tank of fuel.
She stopped five laps later, and it was the difference.

It really felt good to watch this. I can only imagine how hard it has been for her and the pressure she had to face everytime she walked out onto a track. I can't believe there are mindless persons out there who would dare discredit her victory. She had to put herself in position to win this race. She accomplished that. Made a calculated call to top off and then went out there and put it to the floor. Made a beautiful high side pass, and the rest is history. I'm proud of her.

I could only understand Danica Patrick, but I wish our announcers were that enthusiastic.
Wow what a way to win lmao everyone in the top 8 ran out of gas lmao. I would hate to win a race like that.
WTH a win is a win I guess. I guarantee you guys she wont win a race for the rest of the season unless the top 5 or so runs out of gas.. lol

Who is guilty, what at them fuel has ended? Danica? It is possible to finish race without fuel?
