@MortalSyntax That's not how I remember the book. My memory is that you never actually find out if he's the last one alive. He just never meets anyone else and doesn't know one way or the other.

I saw the entire movie, this movie did a good job of making my fear onto the big screen. I love this movie but I fear the same thing even before it came out, it's not a zombie apocalypse fear it's a ending up alone fear.
