Riots are not just happening in England and the civil unrest there is no longer localized. For now, it has slowed in England, but the surrounding communities have been effected. Reports coming from the area state that there are 16,000 police on the streets, which, is a form of martial law, but what is expected when you grow up in a society built up by the idea that the government takes care of you. This is just more evidence that the nanny state is weak and unreliable on so many levels.

Then, there have been food riots in China because of soaring runaway inflation and lack of food because of the recent floods there. The Chinese workers are getting fed up with the oppression the face and the inevitable starvation. China has a huge problem. In the last 1,000 years China has had a famine in at least one of its provinces every year. The people are showing that they will no longer put up with the regime.

And, of course there is the social unrest in Europe. Greece and Italy are facing default. Greece's credit rating is one above a default and analysts are claiming that when, not if, Italy defaults, there will be a decade long depression in Europe. Combine this with the food shortage because of the extremely wet spring and summer seasons and you have a huge catastrophe looming.

Finally, in the United States you have the combination of inflation, or as some financial experts are reporting, stagflation (no economic growth plus inflation) food shortages, the rise of the nanny state, more government control, higher taxes, and people who believe in freedom to their core, which combined, makes the situation volatile. All over the United States there have been shortages or delays in people (now 43 million US citizens) receiving food stamps. In Atlanta, people were upset and in other locations people have rioted for short periods of time.

Ask yourself if this reminds you of the time before the Great Depression when there was looming international conflicts, food shortages due to weather issues, and economic hardships due to government and corporate corruption and then ask yourself what you need to do to prepare for this. I suggest buying seeds and learning the skill of home canning. Even, one of the largest investors ever, George Soros, is leaving gold and buying up large amounts of farmland.

  • I think we are seeing a global meltdown. USD has issues and so does the Pound and the Euro. The Swiss Franc has had to devalue because it is too strong and others are too weak and thus causing a cost disparity. I really don't think any currency is safe because this is a worldwide problem caused by corporate-government hand-in-hand corruption. This could have been prevented if governments locked up the corrupt!

  • Do you have a better idea? Buy gold? Oh wait, most people are trying to save money now and can't afford that. If the government can take farmland (Communists even gave people farmland in small amounts) then they can take every asset you own. So, what is the solution to this? I say prepare for a famine, because the governments can barely hold on to the rioters...

  • For what?

  • I agree 100%! Welcome to gun control. Maybe they should have burned the station first.

    Take Care,

    John

  • GOOD IDEA: Homeless people should buy seeds & grows gardens. (Guerrilla Gardening) Instead of moaning & groaning. Right? :)

  • These days it's actually fun to witness the collapse, but at the same time, we can't really do much without the quick access to things we need or want.

  • Society Collapsing all around us, not looking good. Economy failing and Islamic Jihads trying to blow up as much as they can all around the world. The Riots in London was sad, foolish youth torching business that employ people.

Social Unrest has begun in the USA, gonna be coming in Canada this weekend.

  • Mike, great video! People all over the world need to wake up. We are starting to see plenty of "flash mobs" here and these things can go south really quick. So far, they are just stealing but that can change at any second. This video sort of ties into a video I did a while back called "When seconds count". If you want to, attach this video to that one! God Bless!

  • Buy Food and Water first. Then buy Silver. Get out of the dollar.

  • I respect your efforts in warning Americans. I must point out that the Government has Agenda 21 in place to take over all farming, land, & farming equipmIt's hard to even have a simple garden in your yard. So I'm not sure about seeds. Water? That will be a problem.
