  • I appreciate the comments. I definitely did not love it when I watched it over. This was done strictly for an instructional speech (college class). Should have done it 30 years ago! I was just looking for an quick & easy craft & really did spend way too much time talking about the materials.....LOL! Long story short...........I finally graduated!!! I actually have used this craft since with my primary class as Christmas gifts for parents using each child's photo.

  • I made these coaster with mod podge and polyurethane sealer and did ok till i put a hot coffee cup on it! Anyone else have this issue or test their own coasters with a hot and cold beverage??

  • Thank you for the steps to making my coasters. I made one using polyurethane for the topping, but was left with air bubbles. I'm hopeful to get better results with your instructions.

  • I love the idea, and I appreciate the tutorial, but if you ever get the chance to refilm it, try working from a script. I noticed that it took over 2/3 of the video length to explain your materials alone. Just a little bit of advice. Also, it's kind of hard to hear you.

  • This is wonderful! The modge podge protects the surface from water damage. If you use rubber stamps, you can simply use an ink called "Staz-On," and then you don't need to use any kind of sealant. Definitely something worth trying!!

  • I love your idea....and you explained it so well. But one thing...how do you protect it from water damage?
