With the engine & lack of weight on a C-180, if you drop by 2/3 inches, the drag will make you slow down dramatically. Power & weight of the Harvard will just plow through that no problem. You have better margins. Anyway, with the South African Air Force retiring their Harvards in 1995, there are still plenty left. Lastly, Scully Levine, the lead was a SAAF Mirage pilot as was most of the others. Very skilled. He was the 1st to land a Piper Cub on a moving truck.

fine, C-180's then. Whatever, it's still a rediculous thing to do with a Harvard.

Try that with a C152 (or any other tricycle gear plane) and you're dead. It only works with a taildragger.

Crazy guys, but let me have a ride with your !!! :-)
interesting, and daring, but why use a classic airplane? C-152's would be just as impressive, but who cares if you wreck one of them?
