PS3 Slim v Fat Comparing Game Loading Times "KillZone 2"

I am not sure if this is a good way to compare the speed of the two systems, but it must have some bearing.

I noticed that the screen tends to freeze momentarily while loading in game content in KillZone 2. This generally occurs after an area has been cleared and the character is moved to a new area within the same level. The screen freezes for a second and a loading sign appears, then the game resumes. So, i decided to test this freeze in both the Slim and the old PS3. I was hoping that the PS3 slim would not have this freeze. But, to my disappointment, it did.

If PS3 Slim's new smaller processor was indeed faster (as claimed by IBM) , then, in my opinion, this freeze should not have occurred. Is that a fair expectation?

Also, for those of you who have a stopwatch, time the time it takes to load the first level and compare. Notice any difference?
