  • This is a great job. I am a Bukusu of Bamasaaba extraction living in Nairobi, Kenya. I visited Mbale town and a village called Namakwekwe in 2010 as a postgraduate researcher. It was wonderful interacting with the locals- Maurice Barasa

  • I am glad you did this great work. I have been to Mbale and I am from Canada. I love Mbale so mcuh.

  • Mbale is a great place to visit. I love it very much. I am a Canadian but I call Mbale my home town.

  • Welcome @ social worker Sarah(3:48). I first heard yo voice and i prompted to rewind the video, only to see you! Great job reaching out to help people! God bless! Yours V'(keith's uncle)

  • Norsk! Går det bra om jag pratar svenska med dig?

Jag tänkte mig ett tips om vad som helst.

Ska komma ihåg Sipi falls, ska fota mycket, det blir nog coola bilder fra där.

    Det kanske blir fotboll då!

    TACK

  • Also, Mbale has a football tema in the national super league, CRO FC. Maybe you could have the chance to watch a Ugandan super league match?

Eivind, Norwegian who worked in Mbale from october last year until this april.

  • Make sure you get to visit the Namatala Slum, but dont go to many at a time. Get someone from the friend school to guide you. If you want a walk and to see some of the more village-like areas of Mbale, you could take a hike on the Wanale, the ridge above Mbale, which you can see in the video. Go early in the morning before it gets too hot, and get someone local to guide you.

  • A tip about what? If you want to be tourists for a day, you can go to Sipi falls, about an hours drive from Mbale. Very beautiful waterfalls, and extremely green surroundings. Most beautiful when it has been raining for some time.

  • I am going to Mbale next year, for two weeks. Don't know exactly when but i think in April or May, me and some pupils are gonna visit out friend school: "Bumufuni School".

Do somebody have a tip to give?

  • I loved this. It brought back wonderful memories of Mbale. Thanks for sharing.
