**This presentation is exclusive! I am the first and only user running a Panstir-S1 [music video]. If you like this, please see my other videos**
The Pantsir-S1 is a further development of the 9K22 Tunguska system.
It is a combined missile/gun system produced by KBP in Russia, and can be mounted on a wheeled or tracked platform, usually depending upon the district it is being esstablished too.
The Pantsir-S1 is capable of detecting and tracking targets with Cross Sections as small as 2cm squared, at speeds up to 2,200mph, within a 12.4 mile ceiling, and 10 mile circumference.
Pantsir-S1 carries up to twelve 57E6 or 57E6-E two-stage solid fuel missiles carried in sealed, ready to fire tubes. The missiles can be fired at up to 4 targets and is capable of firing salvos of two missiles at one target. Pantsir-S1 is believed to have a hit probability of 85-95%. The K7E6 missiles have a 15 year storage lifetime in its sealed containers. Pantsir-S1's can fire missiles on the move.
Two twin 2A38M 30mm autocannons carry 700 rounds of a variety of ammunition.
- HE-FRAG (High Explosive fragmentation)
- Fragmentation tracer, and
- Armour-piercing with tracer.
The type of ammunition can be selected by the crew depending on the nature of the target. Maximum rate of fire is 2,500 rounds per minute, per gun, at ranges up to 4 km.
(Target acquisition radar:)
Type: phased-array
Coverage: 360°
Maximum detection range: 32km to 36km's
(Target tracking radar:)
Type: phased-array
Maximum tracking range: 24km to 28km
Maximum number of targets can be tracked simultaneously: 20
Maximum number of targets can be engaged simultaneously: 3
Maximum number of missiles can becontrolled simultaneously: 4
Russia currently has a "reported" 38 units operational (actualy number is said to be military secret), which by 2015 will fully replace the Tunguska-M1 with some 309 units.
@talking1717 So all AA-systems are worthless against US jets? God help us all.
SuperFinnish 2 weeks ago
@SuperFinnish Would you rather go up against T-34/85s or T-54A tanks? That's why the US "freaked out"

@SuperFinnish
because then it will be harder to evade, not impossible.

@talking1717 Then why did US "freak out" about the possible sale of S-300 systems into Iran?

With the right use of chaff and other counter measures the U.S and Israeli Air Force have, all air defence systems from the small ones to the big ones can be jammed or deceived. You should all know that.

@StiviGun1 Town Miami in Oklahoma state. Population - 17.000. 20% of population lives below poverty limit. Average earning 5$ per hour. Those who have jobs cover dozens of miles everyday to a neighbor state, because they can't find jobs in Oklahoma.

@MrCastodian There is another kind of Americans. Americans who are also patriots and proud of their country, but they don't have inflated ego and they have a good perception of reality. These days I watch a Russian documentary "one-storie America". Two reporters repeat a road trip of 2 Soviet reporters decades ago around America. They speak to simple Americans and notice good things and bad things on different subjects. Point is that such Americans don't spend their time on YT. :)

@BitnikGr It is a dream for a long time and drive through Europe by car, then across Asia to India and home through Russia, to visit all the famous places, forgotten battlefield and feel the history, see all the people, hear all the language and understand how small you are in the world:)
Yes, you can always dream:)
Must content myself to mess with Americans o their inflated egos and distorted perception of reality on You Tube rather than folow my dreams :)
