I already know how to make TATP, and I dislike it very much because of how sensitive the shit is. I like MEKP moreso. trashcanman1974, I got the recipe for MEKP, and it calls for use of H2SO4 for catalyst. Can I use muriatic acid instead, as a substitute, but in more volume instead? Where did you learn to make MEKP?

noone trusts dry acetone peroxide as primary, so I imagine MEKP is better.

also nice...mekp seems a good deal better than ap..SWIM made it but gave up due to the bitch it was to extract...only really need it for a cap anyway SWIM supposes.. u may wish to purchase a camera . : )

Yes MEKP is an interesting little compound, I think it has more potential for use as a booster charge than a cap for the following reasons. 1 It is way for stable than other peroxides, and IMO quite safe to make in large amounts. 2 There is an inherent danger in it's use in caps due to it's "wick" effect, the MEKP tends to soak into the fuse and therefore detonate much earlier than expected. My solution to this is simple, only insert the fuse when ready to detonate.

I completely agree I need a better camera, I should have one for my next project. Send me a message if you wish to discuss extraction of MEKP, as I have a method perfected, if I do say so myself.
