Up to 250 armoured vehicles accompanied by members of Muammar Gaddafi's southern army battalions arrived at Agadez in Niger on Monday. According to a French military source, the convoy had been escorted by the Nigerien military.

It is believed the vehicles came through Algeria.




There is speculation Gaddafi may meet the convoy before travelling to Burkina Faso, where he and his family have been offered asylum.
