The Co-operative Group required an interactive training DVD to explain to store staff their new Challenge 25 policy
(regarding alcohol sales). This training video includes drama, staff interviews and graphic summary screens.

The full interactive DVD also provides question and answer screens to reinforce the learning points.

  • It may seem over the top to some people. But if staff guess a customer's age wrongly, then they can get in serious trouble, especially as the police often do checks where they will send in someone under 18 on purpose to see if they get served.

It's not worth their job if one or 2 people get disgruntled that they've been asked for ID.

If the shop commissioned for a video to be produced, it must be a serious issue for them, that they have to resolve.

  • @doitanywayz They were just doing the right thing. If you look under 25 you will be asked for ID. People who work in retail can lose their jobs if they dont ID you and their jobs are way more important than you winning on a lottery ticket. PLUS if the CSA doesnt ask for ID and trading Standards are in store, they could get fined, lose their job and the store could lose their lisence to sell age restricted products. Student card ISNT a form of ID. Passport. Pass Logo Id Card. Driving Lisence only

  • @HeWantsMeANOREXIC I wrote the original comment on a day where I went into tesco and got a lotoo ticket. I had no driving license or passport, but had my studentID. They see me there everyday cos it was right next to it. I showed it to them and they said they couldn't accept it, that's over the top don't you think? Are they gonna get in trouble if I am over 16? I'm clearly not a school kid!

  • @doitanywayz You can never tell how old someone is. I asked someone for id, they looked 18/19, they showed me id and they were actually only 14. They showed me their id thinking I wouldnt check it. People look older than they are and that is why its called Challenge 25.
