Nice attitude - good question. Has God done everything in His power for our salvation (which is what I take it "saving us from hell" means) ? In one sense, yes. In giving us Jesus, He has given us *everything* - God has given God Himself, to be everything to us, even our Food. I took the liberty of re-phrasing your question b/c "saving us from hell" is only the tip of the iceberg; the New Testament gives a far richer idea of what it is to be Christian, than that phrase does.

@skywize About one in twenty conversations I've had with Theists tends to be civil. Most end in personal attacks or by the cyber equivalent of getting pants-ed. An example would be the obvious invocation of things that they already know are false. "Find me a crocaduck, you retard. You can't? Than you are an idiot who believes in scientific mythology!" ...ok, I adlibbed.. sue me, lol.

@lease2coach1 A few years ago I'd have agreed. Mind you, it's not some vast knowledge I've picked up over the years that have changed that opinion, but the countless discussions I've had with people that start off with someone's question or comment. I will answer to the best of my all be it, limited ability. The reply tends to be harsh and degrading, and usually without even an attempt at a valid point, just to have the last word, and bite the opponent in the ass.

I understand your point, skywize; but *you* have to understand that a true believer's (TB's) mind is made up, before you ever deal with him/her. You can be as logical and fact-supported as you want; the TB can simply respond that his/her faith is "beyond" logic and facts.
It's less frustrating to try calmly to make clear why *you* can't believe: "I can't accept that a 'god' with the power to create one hundred sextillion STARS wouldn't be able to show himself occasionally, or to abolish hell."

Is it not in an omnipotent beings power to drop down every once in a while to say "Hey look, I'm here! I'm real! Just an FYI"? Anyone who says that could never happen because of free will... is a fucking moron. You don't have a clue what free will is.

What would "everything in God's power to prevent us from going to Hell" mean? According to a previous video you made, as he is omnipotent, would everything in his power be 0%, since no matter what he did, he would have infinitely more things he could do. ;)

I am sorry, but to me this looks more like that the "Christian / Catholic type of God" has a Sadistic Personality Disorder. (someone who uses physical cruelty or violence for the purpose of establishing dominance) ...like being Ok with human sacrifices...like torturing Jesus 2 death....killing innocent babies, etc.
