Ok..I thought it only fair to watch the video, and have changed to a thumbs up for the wealth of information, shown through..well..awesome editing. But I still don't think it's a 'revolution'..when the revolution is on behalf of a handful of corporations rather than people's own ideologies.
Disliked..I stopped at the start, describing social media as a revolution.
A revolution (from the Latin revolutio, "a turn around") is a fundamental change in power or organizational structures that takes place in a relatively short period of time. (Wikipedia)
If that's the case, then emailing was a revolution, businesses around the world went from fax to emails in a short amount of time, which changed the way the world worked..but it wasn't a revolution! How about mobile phone usage..texting.
Gosh! With 2,006 likes and only 1 dislike (mine) I ought to explain why I gave it the thumbs down. Yes, it is informative (for those who can access it) and it shows impressive editing skills. But it is, on the whole, inaccessible to a large number of disabled internet users. If MediaBubbleUK offered alternative versions, with subtitles, captions, a spoken dialogue, a slideshow for slow readers, a high-contrast and large print version, it will earn a thumbs up from me. I live in hope!
