i wish his whole speech was here. This video skips about 5 minutes of it :( he talks about when Idina tried out and she was singing defying gravity and cracked on "bring me down" so she yelled the f bomb as loud as she could and did it again. She's so funny and amazing. I love her <3

@moviesrocks2 agreed! i would imagine that she'd want to grow as a performer. yeah, i agree that a select few other women have played it better, i just get all nostalgic. haha.

I was there!!! And I met her backstage. She was on crutches, stroked my hair and apologized for "disappointing me" by not being in the show. She could never disappoint me.

@moviesrocks2 other Elphabas are good but Idina really is Elphie! If you get what I mean she spells out everything perfectly. All actresses are pretty equal! (;

@StopAnimate827 Thanks. I actually learned that after I posted. It sucks that she couldn't perform. I wonder if she left because of the injury, or just got tired of doing it. I guess after doing the same role for so long that get tired & want to move on. why some actor/actresses on shows leave after so many years. Hard to see them go, but life goes on. so many women played Elphie I think better than Idina, ie. Eden Espinosa is freaking amazing!
