不如去King's(戲院)看Bob Taylor(那部戲)。
Where did rich guys and girls go to watch movies in the 1940s?
Rich guy: After taking tea, we go swimming in Repulse Bay, have dinner there, and then back to downtown to watch a movie...
Lady A: Watch a movie?
Rich guy: Yep... watch a movie, and then we go dancing. What do you think?
Lady B: Let's go to Queen's Theatre.
Lady A: The movie shown at Queen's Theatre is no good. I really don't like Wallace Beery (?) because he looks so rough.
Rich guy: How about we go to King's (Theatre) to watch a Bob Taylor film?
Lady A: I like Robert Taylor! I really love watching his films!
Lady B: Of course, your cousin looks like him!
Thanks so much. Have you seen 血染杜鵑紅 by 白燕 and 南國姊妹花 by 胡蝶影? These are quite interesting early cantonese movie.

Thanks for your information~ I haven't watched the two films, but hope to have a chance soon. There are in fact many interesting old Cantonese films, but most of them have never been shown or released on VCD/DVD. Sad.

So precious clip. Who are the stars? The rich guy can pronunciate the English name!
vylann 3 years ago
The rich guy is Tse Tin (謝天), the lady on the left is Leung Sui-bing (梁瑞冰), and the lady on right may be Chu Chu (朱珠). They appeared in films in the 1940s and early 50s.

Though the film is very old, you still recognised the name of the actor and actress. You are so great, and you must be movie-fan. Your age must be over 60. Am I right?

Not really, as I got the information from HK Film Archive's database.. hehehe..
