I wouldn't doubt the 1960s It was also the same ordeal with Russia, population being told to pray and U.S was the evil ones, but, this all looks like one big misunderstanding if you read within the lines, some moron waves his gun just wrong or makes one wrong move, plus with the general leadership, doesn't help uneasiness, when really, should try interventions, simple.. easy, Extend a friendly hand, don't force it.

The Russians played their cards right. Mikheil Saakashvili was fooled into starting a battle that his little country couldn't win and the guys who reassured him that Russia would not dare retaliate were nowhere to be found when Russian troops were on Georgian soil. That little conflict had a bigger implication for other former Soviet nations that wanted to join NATO. The Russians were sending a message that only East Europeans can easily understand.
