The scary thing is that when this went down the US media had almost no counter opinion reflecting the wisdom Margolis is sharing here. The media could have easily walked us into a war with Russia with their lack of fair coverage and total support of Georgia, for no good reason.

@Cartmanvb man please Stalin? lol you don't know any History beyond that? look at any map 7th century, 8th century, 9th century and before or after, look at BC Maps, look at Iberian Kingdom of Georgia, look at Kartli Kingdom of Georgia those lands were always Georgian for thousands of years, Soviets split up Georgia and then Stalin "gave it back" how are they gonna give us something which was always ours? please go read a book or something you making yourself look real uneducated.

An independent investigation (done by the Seize government) found that the South Ossetians provoked the Georgians into starting a skirmish, which the Russian Federation used as an excuse to fight Georgia and occupy 1/3ed of the country, which it continues to do to this day.

@Cartmanvb well so far yes most of the world is supporting Georgias territorial integrity, have you been living under the rock? do you see any countries recognizing those 2 lands as independent? don't you see UN Just passing resolution for "honorable return of IDPS in conflict zone" which Russia is not allowing?

look at Kosovo even know Georgia does not recognize Kosovo, half of the world recognized it, not so in this case, only Venezuela and Nicaragua nobody else is supporting Russia in this.

so Russia is the only smart one AND WHOLE WORLD IS STUPID and Russians are the only one that know the History and WHOLE WORLD DOES NOT KNOW SHIT, this is how you Justify to yourselfs that NOBODY HAS RECOGNIZED THOSE LANDS AS INDEPENDENT.

whole world knows through ancient writings and scriptures that those lands are Georgian, EVEN RUSSIAN CHURCH RECOGNIZES JURISDICTION OF GEORGIA OVER THOSE LANDS.

so lets not forget these little facts that world and HIstory knows real borders of Georgia.
