Some capoeira kicks are either Bencao, which is more of a push than a kick, or Pontiera, which is more of a direct blow to the opponent. See demonstrations of these kicks with helpful tips from a martial arts instructor in this free video on capoeira.

  • Noticed the Bruce Lee banner hanging on the wall. Respect for other martial arts.

  • For all the haters, don't hate... you try it and see how easy it isn't.

  • @chross1984 uhh..maculele doesn't mean machete, maculele is a toque on the atabaque and a dance associated with capoeira, and also the name of the person for which the dance is named after

  • it looks like a dancing karate

  • esse cara e brasil rapaisss kkk ...

  • Nice video, couldn't see the techniques very well though, but still nice video. =)

  • I have been at a batizado with him

  • very good lessons... nice movements, good job...

Just a little comment for the camera guy... focus both of them, the girl is pretty but the lesson is about the kicks... so focus ur camera on the middle, trying to get both of them, but specially the guy who is teaching the moves.

    Good job guys... keep going

  • @oldschoolelf Well, i more think they share the room with other groups of martial arts like many do. But shure, why not respect other martial art styles. I guess everyone should do what fit best for the person.

I prefer capoeira, cause it is not as strict as most asian styles but still has a spirit behind it, not like boxing (not that boxing is bad, boxing is fine). I just like the spirituality behind a style.
