Report: Subprime Mortgage Crisis Causing African Americans to Experience Greatest Loss of Wealth in Modern U.S. History

A startling new report has predicted the subprime mortgage crisis will cause people of color to lose up to $213 billion, leading to the greatest loss of wealth in modern U.S. history. The figure appears in a new report from United for a Fair Economy called "Foreclosed: The State of the Dream 2008." The group accuses mortgage lenders of deliberately targeting the poor and people of color with high-cost loans. We speak with Dedrick Muhammad, co-author of the report. [includes rush transcript]

@doctorw2 great comment you seem like a good reasonable man...its hard to steer 35 million people to become immune to the (deliberate) influx of drugs propaganda materialism psychological warfare discrimination etc...but what people miss is that blacks are actually doing a better job than people will ever know considering the circumstance because its so easy for someone to adopt a conservative ideology to combat black communities % of success .

@JollyRodders there are 35 million blacks in america if there were 35 million indians carribbean and pakistanis in america then we would see different demographics for every african immigrant who comes to the us and becomes a doctor there are hundreds of thousands of blacks either becoming doctors or somehow making the same wealth or more..

we white people allways blame blacks for our infractions and that is wrong we need to stop bullshiting and own up to our own crimes mainly exploitation and manipulating other cultures and socities for own advantage. black people are satisfied with lifes basic needs food shelter and clothing you never see black people wanting to conquer or exploit another country or culture they sadly fight amongst themselves for finacial status its only whites,asians, and others who want to control the world.

Out of interest how do the new immigrants from Africa compare to those long established blacks in the US. Do they study harder, work harder have a good family ethic..??

Asians {Indians Pakistanis etc} in the UK were once classified as blacks, but they themselves asked to be re-classified because they felt that blacks were pulling them down. As one Asian said we know who commits most crime against us. Now the older blacks from the Caribbean don't like the new intake from Africa who work harder.
