In honor of today being Esther Williams 88th birthday, here is a tribute to her. Her water muscials of the 1940s and '50s earned her the title of "America's Mermaid" and being an acclaimed swimming champion, her films usually had elaborate dance sequences involving swimming.
I don't own the music or pictures.

Cute, I actually have quite a fondness for Esther Williams, I always admire extremelly skilled women like her. I have realized and seen these pictures that Esther was much more heavy-set then Hollywood let on to the public eye to see, nonetheless that's just who she was, and it was probably a bit more muscle then fat .

I loved her in "Dangerous When Wet"! with Tom and Jerry..hahaha! :) so cute! Fantastic tribute as always and I loved the music!!
