I think you should practice Wing Chun if you can. I have studied 12diffrent martial arts and Wing Chun was the best of them. Its much more street effective, no nonsense, straight to the point! It is hard in the beginning but keep at it; it will soon make sense to you if you practice hard.

Wing Chun rocks, but I can tell you that it will take the avg practitioner MUCH longer than 6 months to develop automatic usable reflex actions. I'm into it for just over 2 years with an excellent sifu certified by several highly regarded masters, and I'm a quick learner myself. The style, despite what is sometimes "reported" is not easy and quick to learn. It's worth the effort though!
