Maria Lawson - Black Mona Lisa

This is largely a carbon copy remake--the music is nearly identical and she pretty much mimics Lamya's vocal. Since the original is indeed amazing, this slavish copy leads to a great record, but doesn't say much for Lawson's ability to carve out a distinct identity for herself.

this is a great rendition of Lamya's "black mona lisa." She stays true to the more upbeat version. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and she's giving Lamya her props! great!!!!!
