What does God's Word say about alcohol?
Is it alcohol, or drunkeness that is prohibited?
Also, please see Part 115 "Does God Prohibit Pork?"
for an important update to this video.

"Those who fabricate false prohibitions, and attribute them to GOD, are wicked." Surah 3:94

Why are they wicked?
Because they cause some to feel like they are not good enough to serve God. Or, they cause some to think that God is being harsh, when it is not He who is prohibiting things.
It is wicked to prohibit things that God does not because...it stumbles people away from serving God!

Peace to all of you,
Sister Becca

  • peace everyone,

please see Part 115 "Does God Prohibit Pork?"

for an important update to this video.

  • Whereistruth,

Thank you for making a very good video. It is very well defended. However, I cannot see how you can take the Bible as the holy word of Yahweh, and not be a Christian. If Jesus was who he said he was, than you must submit to him as Lord. If he wasn't, than you must say that the New Testament isn't the holy word of Yahewh. Maybe you believe he is in the son of God, but also follow the Quran? I would appreciate any response.

    Thanks

hello. lol...i just noticed this comment now. i didn't mean to ignore you. :)

i believe in the Quran, and most of the Bible. i believe Jesus was a profound Prophet and Messenger of God, peace upon him.

i believe most of the Bible is true, and that Jesus' teachings in the Bible are true and important. however, i also believe the Bible was altered...just as God said it was in the Quran. contradiction in the Bible proves it. God does not contradict Himself.

  • Here are a couple more points to consider: 1- Jesus made, drank, and distributed wine. In fact, it was his FIRST miracle! John 2:1 - 11 2- Nothing that enters the mouth can defile a man. Matthew 15:11 3- Believers are not to judge one another on the basis of food, drink, or holy days. Romans 14: 1 - 22 4- God commanded the Jews to use their tithes to have a big party every year and to buy "strong drink" to take to the party. Deuteronomy 14:22-29 Why don't Christians obey their Bibles? Why?

  • Oh,

I hope that beer is included as well as the wine as well. I'm not a fan of wine myself, but beer is fantastic.

  • @0TrippyDog0

try reading that Scripture in context....God was speaking to the priests, not everyone.

also, do not comment on my videos anymore since you are so disrespectful.

  • @WhereIsTruth agreed......people's mind and imaginations for their own interest is extremely dangerous...

  • ...... this verse actually translates to, "and eat and drink but waste not by extravagance". this translation is most appropriate in my opinion. the other verse you have quoted is surah al nahl verse 67, the word used there is "sakaran" which translates to wholesome drink. the word for intoxication would be "yunzifoona" and the word for wine is "khamr". the story about prophet Isa producing barrells of wine towards the end of a party, i'm sure they were quite drunk already, Allah knows best.

  • Hmmmm? Seems 2:19 read more closely indicates guidance while granting us the final decision on where we draw the line. Some will choose to give greatly in charity and fully abstain from alcohol while others may give lightly in charity and share in a glass of wine occasionally. Hence, varying degrees of Jennah, but it's all good. thx for yet another eye-opener.

  • @WhereIsTruth You're very welcome.
