Oh I live in Melbourne, and all our roads also look like this, nice and wide and green. You usually can find good back roads to get to most places. I'm probably going to commute to university by bike as often as I can.
Yeah you're right australia has a long way to go, but we just gotta stop encouraging young people to get cars so early. In fact all the parents I know encourage 18 year olds to save for cars. And my mum all she does is complain about all my bikes.
