Eddie Stobart truck being tailgated by a motorbike

We were driving along the M5 and were overtaking an Eddie Stobart Truck, from a distance he looked like he was towing something, it was only when we got closer that we spotted it was a motorbike.
Had the trucker had to brake suddenly the biker would have been toast as he wouldn't have seen it coming, not even sure he knew the guy was trailing him so close.
Shot this with a Panasonic TA1 pocket camcorder, sorry about the music, all I could find on iMovie that fit the clip.

riding behind a dirty owld truck that is heavily loaded and probably coated with diesel , hmm not the best decision.

also done this few years ago on way back from birmingham on 100 mile north home in freezing fog behind american transleasing wagon by warrington i was almost falling asleep with hypothermia collapsed when i reached home probably saved my life ironic cus it could also of ended it worst ride of my life.

the rider of this bike is a true dick head if that trucks brakes the rider is DEAD when air brakes are applied they can stop in a flash if he continues to ride like this behing any HGV he will be paying visit to the undertakers !!!

Well I'm ashamed to say I have done this. Being a Motorcyclist and an HGV Driver I can understand the logic of the rider. It looks bloody freezing and you'll be surprised how much heat comes from sitting behind the truck like that and not to mention the welcome break from the ice cold wind. Flying birds sometimes do it for the same reason but at least they fly beside the truck. However when the truck drives over debris the rider will have no time to react. It's not bad weather just bad clothing
