For Everyone With No Grid Problems: Open a map (one already built), left click on the box on the top right, views tab then click 2D X/Y, click on the bottom left box, views tab then click 2D Y/Z, click on the bottom right box, views tab then click 2D X/Z. Please Like So Other People Can See.

I recently began working on a half-life 2 mod and fired up hammer to work on it. strangely, there was no grid but i could still place objects. How can i get my grid back?

@XxBUZENxX I can only find 1 testchmb_a_05.vmf because I edit Portal. :(

I found out how to see the grid again :) You go to file up in the left corner and open testing.vmf if you se grids now you go to file again and press new than you should see grid :)
