Here's an awesome little mod I feel I can actually be proud of. I was screwing around with various stuff and figured out I could remove Golbez's shoulderpads/cape without adversely effecting the model. So basically that's what I did, took off the excess armor and gave him a small recoloring. The current Exmode is essentially a placeholder until I can come up with something better, as such it wasn't shown in the video (it's basically just a blue recolor of the standard Exmode).
Comment and let me know what you think, all is appreciated.
For the record when I say a lot of trial and error, I mean a lot. At one point I had four or five different models (copies of a standard 'base' model) that I'd try different things on, if I got a part of it right I'd overwrite the other models with the improved model.. I did that upwards of eight or so times during this one's creation. On top of that, this model was like.. three days of work.
I guess what I'm saying is, be determined and you'll work it all out eventually.

Holy old video comments Batman!
Uh, I removed the cape via turning it into one solid color (that isn't used anywhere else on the model) and changing the opacity via Graphic Game Studio (standard tool for this sort of thing).
As for the armor, I found all the armor bits (this part took.. a lot of trial and error) and did the same thing I did to the cape. You can't just remove the spiky bits or you'll have gaping holes in the armor, so it requires taking off the shoulders entirely.

How did you take away the cape? What do you have to do to remove certain parts? i've to remove the spiky bits on golbezes armor by erasing the color, but that didn't work. someone please reply.
