  • @omarnomade It really depends on what your goals and limitations are. Generally, steel is easy to work, to weld, but is heavier than aluminum. Iron is a component of making steel, but iron on its own would be a terrible choice for a bike -- too bendy. Steel, and specifically 4130 (a strong alloy steel), is a great choice for building bikes -- it's cheap, and easily welded and formed. Bikes can be welded with oxy-fuel, MIG, or TIG. Or brazed.
