Before he was the ethical columnist for popular website spiked (http://www.spiked-online.com), Ethan Greenhart was a highly regarded protest singer in Kent. This is his most famous song.

Originally, the song was to be called 'Give Extinction A Chance', but Ethan deemed this too close to the words of that jet-setting planet wrecker John Lennon.

As voluntary human extinction is, unfortunately, not a popular policy at present - though surely the credit crunch and the collapse of capitalism will win it new fans - it is vital that we all try to live with as little impact on the planet as possible. Therefore, please purchase Ethan's invaluable guide to the many ethical dilemmas this involves, 'Can I Recycle My Granny?', available from all good bookstores. And once you've read it, please recycle it. Thank you.

  • Only after the last fish has been caught,

Only after the last tree has been cut down

Then we will realise truly what we have done

  • I don't like this way of seeing ecology: We are certainly destroying our environment and we have to reverse the process urgently if we want to keep living on an interresting and beautiful planet. BUT, we never asked to be there, we never asked to be the first animals able to adapt everywhere and to reduce hunger or suffering. So it's pointless to feel guilty to be there, but we have to decide in which world we want to live, because it is clear our decisions will keep shaping the world.

  • @1StoryImageFigure1 Trees don't suffer... it is emotion that generates value. Evolution builds suffering factories... and animated slaughter machines... and now humans... who build slaughter houses! 500 million years of horrendous misery and agony... and counting...

... and still we seek to protect the blue dot?

  • @TheKoster1978 They are far to stupid to do something like that.

  • @IdaMiaDot Trees do everything you describe.

Nature must die, Earth must be raped, let the enviroment perish.

  • Lol...is this Brendan singing?????

  • This planet was a disaster of the highest order long before humans evolved. The DNA consumption/replication model produced an insidious, behemothic, self-cannibalizing, parasitic abomination. Life eats itself alive. When has this planet ever been beautiful..? When there was just flora..?

Trees are pretty neat I guess.

  • musica idiota, pensamento demente e sem proposito. já que esses idiotas do movimento vhemt querem a extinção da humanidade por que não se matam e vão na frente, façam este favor a todos nós.
