Stossel used to be an anchor on 20/20 and worked for ABC News before brain-dead, dip shits like you were even born. Stossel traveled to Socialist countries to report on economics, again before you were born.And you're so fucking stupid you're trying to tell HIM the meaning of Socialism?!

Epoptika... It's a true story. You need to get your facts straight. Not only do we see this in the past, but also today. Anything publicly owned goes to shit... parks, streams, rivers, etc.... Why do see signs on our highways "the road is maintained by..." it's ownership, capitalism... Socialism has failed at every level - past and present.

Someone teach John Stossel about socialism please, what he defined was actually communism. Actually it is not even communism, since historically most farms in a community were shared, but owned by the ruler or landlords and they are essentially renting the land. Basically someone owns the land, and they just pay the taxes for using it.

Of course I don't expect FOX "news" to even care about basic definition anyways.

The Comanche should have a well known history, they were a poor Shoshone "second harvest" eating band from the foothills of the Rockies who enthusiastically adopted the horse to survive and then become the most savage tribe on the Plains. Like a scenario out of Jared Dustin's Guns, Germs and Steel the Comanche benefited from contact with the Europeans.

I am a socialist (a democratic socialist to be specific) and I'm proud to be one. You guys should research about socialism and watch documentaries instead of what Fox news has to say about it. Don't trust the main stream media to learn about facts, as one can only attain that kind of knowledge by independent research on the internet and reading books on these kinds of topics.

The other thing that is ridiculous about this clip is that Stossel actually showed the stupidity of the point he was trying to erroneously put forth when he pointed out that there was a company that dictated how the pilgrims would manage their resources. That, my friends is actually capitalist abuse. If the pilgrims themselves had decided how to manage their resources...

What's idiotic about this clip is that Fox doesn't talk about how successful the Indians were. The Indians didn't have the concept of "private property" and they were successful, resourceful, and all had proper food. The problem that the pilgrims had was not socialism, it was their lack of knowledge on how to work with the foreign land that they were so unfamiliar with.
