Dear Heavenly Father,
I think you are there in this music.....that you are gentle and loving. That you calm our restless spirits. That you want the best for all your children in this world.
Thank you for bringing the Taize community into existence....and for inspiring this music.

we use this one as our choir hymn, bechause we are named "Laudate dominum" but I didn't know that it had instruments with it, I'd like to get the sheets for this, does anybody know where to get it?

@earlofca I make the point because it is rarely noted that the Psalms were written in Hebrew and belong to the "Old Testament". I was at Taizé when this Laudate was introduced in the late 70s. You are right. It was seen, and is still seen, as being "as much Christian as it is Jewish". In fact, all Psalm texts were presented as purely and exclusively Christian - there was no acknowledgement that they'd been written in Hebrew or could be seen as a Jewish text at all. That's still the case.

@jarabaa, we Christians have adopted, cannonized, the Book of Psalms. It is as much Christian as it is Jewish.
