  • terrible, terrible port of an otherwise amazing game (for the SNES), People who thought the original was tough should play this one, this one is a real challenge. I can make it to the snake pit level on this version before my continues run out, then again i've only played it twice.

  • Are you playing it on 60hz? this game won't work properly at that speed, it'll play too fast and you'll fall off the snakes instead of grabbing hold.

In my opinion this version is a lot of fun, the SNES version is pretty dull, and should've been far better than it was, I mean apart from the graphics it pretty much took advantage of nothing the SNES hardware had to offer and was prettty much just a re-tread of the NES original.

Ocean never made amazing game, but some of their titles are pretty goods. Like the Jurassic Park and Addams Family games on SNES.

  • @jesusarnold Well no I've never played there PC games, but yes their NES and SNES games sucked.

  • @murderousbastard83 Thirdly: Being that you mentioned LJN, I assume you're a NES fan, which explains why you think Ocean are bad, they never took the NES seriously, mainly because the system was never very popular in Britain, so their NES games are shoddy cash-in's for the most part.

Naming all the good Ocean games would probably be a exercise in futility as they made masses of good computer games, the one which instantly springs to mind is Head Over Heels, one of the best games of the 80s

Secondly, your original statement is pretty funny, Ocean were actually quite famous for producing some of the highest quality music for a lot of systems, and Jonathan Dunn was one of the more talented soundsmiths out there for a long period of time, search for "Pugsley's scavenger hunt music" for instance, the tune used in their Gameboy Robocop game was actually taken and used for an advert afterwards.

  • @murderousbastard83 I think they did a pretty good job here actually tbh, keep in mind that the SMS has a worse sound chip than even the NES, let alone the SNES.

  • @Sandalkiki Ocean was one to two steps above LJN! Tell me one good game Ocean made?

  • @murderousbastard83

I'm not Furniss. And, to be honest, it's just a port. The original was composed by David Wise (Donkey Kong Country, ...) and was totally awesome.

Furniss do usually pretty good musics, too.

For Ocean, what's the problem ?

  • @Sandalkiki If you are Matt Furniss, then I am sorry to offend you sir! Lol.

  • @murderousbastard83

    It's Matt Furniss, actually.

  • Yuck, sounds like Ocean made the music!
