Our snorkelng trip to St. John, USVI. THe Kodak ZX3 took great underwater pics I thought, we filmed in 720p, although we could have gone up to 1080p. Also took some 5MP stills with it, which were OK but the near focus was not good. The camera did get water in it after about 4 days of repeated use, could have been sand in the seals for the doors or something. Recommend cleaning very meticulously and maybe using an o-ring sealant of some sort.

  • @vintoe The audio is passable, nothing to write home about but no worse than you would get from the mic on any other small digital camera. Underwater, it actually pics up bubble and water sounds which is kind of cool. The membrane covering the mic is close to the surface of the camera so when it goes from wet to dry, it doesn't retain much water, assuming you give it a quick wipe with a towel.

  • Thanks! great filmography. What was the audio like in dry usage? and immediately after wet usage? (I would imagine it would be different if the microphones are covered with water)
