  • what kind of 1911 is that?

  • @dasfsadg Its a Para GI expert.

  • It isn't necessary to press check my weapon, because I chamber a round and top off the magazine every time that I load my handgun.

  • @JPBill2 Thats not the reason why certain people do a press check. Most cops walk around all day with a round chambered and topped off gun. They do a press check because they have a few seconds before going into a dangerous situation (like serving a felony warrant for example). Its not need 99.9% of the time but its cheap insurance that only takes 2 seconds out of a cops day. Should every person who owns a gun do press checks? Absolutely not. Its not for everybody.

  • Do you feel it's necessary to do a press check on a handgun that is equipped with a loaded chamber indicator?

  • @TheCounter005 No. If you can see or feel that a round is in the chamber then there is no need to do a press check in my opinion. My S&W has a hole in the top of the barrel so you can actually see the brass which is nice.

  • Don't listen to the douche-bags who trying to discredit you brother. There's nothing wrong with a press check. Redundancy is underrated. And they talk real tough online don't they..

  • Um checking your chamber to make sure a round is chambered is not stupid, redundant, or a waste of time. It is a safety procedure and it can and DOES save lives.

  • Good video. I agree 100% I press check every time I practice at the range an every time before I shoot a stage. It only takes a sec. People so why not do it?

  • @mixflip It's a habit I always have had that tarted with the good 'ol M16 A2 to every thing else. I don't see why you wouldn't, really. It only takes less than 1 second after you pull the slide. And for a sword and nunchucks, you'd have to make sure your sword is oiled and sharpened almost every time (if not ever time) you use it which takes way more than two seconds and it'll be wise to check the link with the nunchucks. lol ;)

  • Great Vid. i do press checks before i do a drill or run a course. an improperly seated or bad magazine may not load a weapon properly, so always do a press check to make sure your weapon is properly loaded
