  • Aragall wisely never sang outside his vocal range of a lyric tenor until his fifties. He never abused his beautiful voice, but as he approached retirement he sang all the arias he used to sing in his bath.

The Golden Tenor was the greatest of the 20th century and retired with an intact voice.
