Jackson worked mainly with the canvas on the floor so he could approach the work from all sides. Your example is unidirectional and sparse by comparison.

Many people look at Pollock's work and think it's simple.. Yeah.. I'm an artist.. anyone can drizzle paint, yes.. but there's MUCH more to his work.. it has balance, tone, texture and emotion.. this guy's just looks like he cleaned his brushes on a bed sheet...
