PLAY - The REAL Timeline (including what they don't want you to know)

A timeline I put together to let old and new PLAY fans alike know PLAY's full history and not just the parts the current members of PLAY and management/label want you to know. They leave out about half of the group's history on Made in Sweden Season 2.

Though on Made in Sweden they act like PLAY just split up after Fanny left the group (stranded) in 2003, they actually did not. Janet Leon, of Made in Sweden Season 1, stepped in as the emergency replacement and together with Janet, PLAY released two new albums and a final compliation "greatest hits" album with only songs recorded while Faye was in the group. They then went on an indefinite break in September 2005. They failed to mention any of that.

As for the reasons Anna and Rosanna were not in the "reunion": Anna was not welcomed back in the group for certain (truthful) reasons only the girls themselves know. But the current members claim it was because when the girls tried to reunite in 2006 Anna never got back to them about the offer so the reunion never happened and they then decided she was not going to be allowed back in the group again. Fanny called and told her this. She was never given a chance to explain her 2006 actions or to rejoin the group. Rosanna was actually in both the 2006 (failed) reunion and this 2009 reunion too. She dropped out two weeks before filming for Made in Sweden started. That then lead management and the remaining girls Anais and Fanny to scramble to find a replacement third memeber and Sanne Karlsson ended up being picked at the very last minute as a last resort since they could not and didn't have time to search for a better replacement before the deadline for starting to record a new album happened.

I honestly don't think there was a misunderstanding with Anna at all. I had heard Fanny and Anaïs did not get along with her back when they were teens but Rosanna did, but since Fanny and Anaïs has more power and standing individually than Rosanna they overruled her and kicked Anna out and used the 2006 offer silence from Anna as their excuse to ban her. A lot happens between 15 and 21, they are adults and should've given Anna a much deserved second chance, but instead they got egos and such.

I wondered about these things when I saw "Made in Sweden", since I thought it was so strange that they pretty much never mentioned the other members. So I'm glad you did this clip for all us confused people, haha. ;)

Strange about the Anna-part though. :/ It looks like a misunderstanding, but who knows what it is...I just hope they didn't were mean on purpose.

Wow! After watching this video my opinions have really changed about Faye & Anais! Anna was/is always my favorite member from PLAY so I was really upset to know she wasn't in the "new" PLAY!

@jaylagrad2013 Did you watch the video? Rosie even said herself that she wanted to pursue a solo career. She dropped out of the project not long before everything was due to start. As for Anna...yes I realize she messaged the poster of the video, but I think there's more going on than what Anna or Faye and Anais said.

....if they wanted to make it big again then they needed to pick up new styles and stuff. and do more dancing. its boring just to watch people stand there singing. they broke up again? :(

@BernadettePetersx3 Not necessarily. BTR would have to ask PLAY permission to record Famous and call it there own. Its a copyright thing. Believe me I felt the same way when I heard Famous being sung by BTR. I wanted to shoot them all. I am still pissed about it.

I can't believe they stabbed Anna in the back like that. I love PLAY and I will always love PLAY, but the way they came about the reunion is terrible. They should have given Anna and Rosie a chance to say yes or no, not keep them away.

I feel so sorry for Anna. Fanny and Anais said in an interview that it would not interfere with Anna.

becuse she was already busy It's okay to Rosanna not to, because when Rosanna was asked if she wanted to be with as she thanked her no at the last minute. Rosanna was also good. But my favorite was Anna. Sanne is the new member of PLAY is really good and has sung with one of Sweden requires great artist called E-TYPE. But PLAY is not the same without Anna<3333333333333333333
