http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/21/castle-townhall/ Moderate Republican Mike Castle (R-DE), who holds Delaware's only Congressional seat, hit a wall of right-wing rage during a town hall meeting in Georgetown, DE. The June 30 meeting, part of his health care "listening tour" across the state, came just days after Rep. Castle was one of just eight Republicans to vote in favor of the American Clean Energy and Security Act. The event rapidly devolved into a moblike atmosphere as conservative activists challenged Castle with the full spectrum of right-wing conspiracy theories.

  • The GOP is a hate group. Plain and simple.

There's nothing wrong with holding the Government to the Constitution. The wrong is in perpetuating an organized campaign of lies which sole intent is to piss all over the Constitution and overturn the lawful Government of the United States of America. And that's exactly what birthers are doing and THAT makes birthers traitors to America, petty and ineffectual though you may be.

Obama has proven his eligibility more than any prior President in History. He's the President.

Not sure what your point is, but Obama has added 1.4 trillion to the debt in two years (Bush submitted the 2009 budget). Bush added 7 trillion over 8 years. Most of the deficits added under Obama are directly related to the wars Bush started.

  • @Mystylplx holding the Government to the Constitution... while running trillionaire budget deficits. Which will lead to huge tax hikes (not only for the rich)

  • Lets get a true conservative Rose Izzo elected

  • Right wingers are degenerates.Neither party is really any good, they are both fascist entities. The Far right however, consists of the worst of the worst.

  • rabble rabble rabble.. Greatest generation my ass. Good luck ever winning the seat with Christine O'Donnell as your candidate..

  • My, what a vile woman.

  • @RichardMNixon Who am I racist against? I'm law student and intern in a public defender's office in California and I know first-hand that what constitutes racial profiling is so vague in California that prosecutions for it are as rare as a hen's tooth. Racial profiling is rampant in our major cities because judges have a hard time with racial profiling definitions. My point goes to show that they most reliable Democratic voters voted in favor of the ban on same-sex marriage.

"A law enforcement officer shall not engage in racial profiling." CA Penal Code Section 13519.4

Wow, so now you're blaming the blacks for something aggressively campaigned for by right-wing organizations? Something that passed by 52% in liberal CA vs. 81% in conservative AL? So you're not only in denial about racism and bigotry (frankly terrifying how comfortable you are with removing civil rights from minorities by popular vote), but you are yourself a racist.

  • @RichardMNixon Racial profiling is legal even in liberal California (where same-sex marriage was banned by a popular vote by Democrats 70% of black voters voted for it and over 50% or Hispanic and Asian voters did as well). Wanting to enforce the law doesn't equate to racism. Nice logical fallacy, though. There is not provision in that law like that anymore.

So then the Rs are less hateful because they always support keeping gays in their place and never deviate from that goal? Tell me, is a gay couple more likely to be allowed to adopt in a blue state or red state?

And again, what about Prop 8? DADT? Your selective awareness is astounding.

I assure you there is no provision in federal law requiring people to keep proof of citizenship on their persons at all times and there are numerous provisions against racial profiling.
