Preaching hemp is usually a social conditioning tactic to get people use to the idea of things like hemp and marijuana. Marijuana as "medicine" & hemp as fuel are "smoke screens" of conditioning. I'm sure nobody is apposed to hemp including me, but don't think for a minute that hemp won't be use to disguise the growing and transporting of pot! When I find a hemp advocate I find a pot smoker nearly every time. Burning anything for power is not smart, heat is what we need and geothermal is it.

Hemp, marijuana, ganga, weed, pot, are all the same plant, just different THC levels.

@russianextwasteland Well, it's great that your on the look out for that sort of thing. Many of us go through life in a dream state. I agree with you when you say that every time you find a hemp advocate you find a pot smoker. That's very common. I just don't see how that is negative. I am not only a hemp advocate, but a marijuana advocate. It is my belief that you have been "conditioned" to think that marijuana is this deadly substance. That simply isn't true.

I'd rather the government see the land to the farmers in question. They can make better use out of the land than the govt. can! IAC that'll be more than enough to provide for our country's energy needs and we could probably export at that point if need be. In ending prohibition, what we MUST do is stop big industries (oil, chemical, etc.) from lobbying the government to protect their sorry rear ends in the marketplace! I will continue to fight that fight, though!

perhaps it can be used for more things, but the point on algae is that it grows far faster than any other plant life, and can be grown in the desert, which im pretty sure hemp cant. and can supply a much much bigger amount of fuel per year per acre. the other things are just alternative products that it can also be used for. but again like i keep saying, my main point is about it use for FUEL!!!!
